Over the Hump Day
Live and Learn
We have reserved a room for Wednesdays for this new program. There in no set plan except that we want to learn something new in the morning and have some relaxed fun in the afternoon. It is basically a conglomeration of a number of calls of interest over the years that we hope to capture on one day each week.
Possible “LEARN” items include chess, basic computers, digital photography, folk guitar, fire prevention, fraud prevention, wine appreciation, nutrition, investment strategies, guest speakers etc. Much will depend on what members want to explore. We will endeavour to secure the resources.
Possible “Live” activities could include euchre, board games, table tennis, darts, movie days etc. The list is endless.
There may be minor fees involved depending on the topic or activity. There will be sign up sheets on the bulletin board near the bowling lanes and if you want to be informed of the schedule by email or would like to suggest a topic or activity, send a note to pcoyne@racentre.com and you will be added to our L@L update list.
Skating
The arena is reserved for the 50+ skating group and their guests. Registration in this group is accepted at the Member and Guest Services Desk as of Sept. 1. The fee is $35/season for members of the 50 Plus Club.
