Enjoy the benefits of participating in group classes. We offer a variety of classes for the beginner, intermediate and advanced exerciser to choose from. From the high energy cardio classes to strength focused programs, these are a great way to kick start your exercise routine.
GroupFIT classes are included as part of the Full, Day, Student, Family and Weekend LifeFIT memberships. However, individuals wishing to take part in the GroupFIT classes only are welcome to join the GroupFIT Only membership.

Class Descriptions:
50 + Muscle & Movement: This low impact class includes cardio and strength and stretching. It is designed to keep you fit and having fun.
Basic Step & Strength: A combination of basic step moves and strength training.
Cardio Ball : Come and sweat away the calories. 30 minutes cadio - 30 minutes muscle. Step or low impact, weights, ball and bars may be included.
FusionFIT: This class is a blend of traditional Yoga and Pilates movements that will improve skeletal posture, strengthen muscles and work the core.
Low Impact: A combination of low impact movement and traditional stretching. Interval strength and abdominal work as well as the FITball may be included.
Low Interval: Come and sweat away the calories. Low impact moves with muscle defining intervals.
MuscleFIT: This is an easy to follow low impact warm-up and total body strength conditioning.
StepFIT: A complete class of STEP is one of the best ways to burn calories and strengthen/tone your legs and “butt”!
Strong Bones: This is a cardio and muscle conditioning class that has an osteoporosis educational component. Educational handouts will be available.
TriFIT: Action packed class with three segments: low impact, step and strength using hand weights, bars, tubing and/or FITballs.
Zumba: An hour long class for those who just want to have fun! This Latin infused cardio class is fun and easy to follow. It’s a dance party!
Heart Wise Exercise: The University of Ottawa Heart Institute in partnership with many community-based organizations, is working to provide guidance in selecting exercise programs that are suitable for individuals with known cardiac disease. The RA’s LifeFIT Centre is pleased to be a Heart Wise Exercise partner.
