Club
The Chess Club meets Thursday evenings year-round for tournament and recreational play. The club also meets on Sundays from September to May for recreational play and chess instruction. The club also hosts several weekend tournaments which are also open to non-club members. Guests are welcome on Thursdays during the summer and to certain events for $3 per visit. Junior Club
Ages 14 and up (exceptions may be made if Club criteria are met) The Junior Chess Club meets year-round Thursday evenings for tournament play and Mondays for recreational play. Those wishing to participate in Thursday evening tournament play must be knowledgeable chess players.

Chess Instruction
Starting in September the Chess Club is offering an instructional course for adults. The course, which will run for a minimum of 8 sessions will consist of a lecture 45 minutes to an hour long, followed by 2 - 3 games of recreational play with your class mates. This course is ideal for beginners and those wanting to return to chess after a long absence. You must be over 18 to take part.

Summer Program
The RA Chess Club runs a varied summer program for players of all strengths and levels for those aged 14 & older. During the summer it is not neccessary to be a member of the club to participate. This is great opportunity to improve your chess skills and meet new people.
Pick-Up Tournaments
Thursday evenings throughout the summer, the club will host informal CFC-rated pick-up tournaments for players of any ability. Come early (before 7:25 p.m.) to be matched against a player of roughly equal ability. Membership in the CFC is required to participate in rated games and can be acquired any evening from the Tournament Director ($43/year for adults, $27/year juniors. Quebec residents pay $36 and $24 repectively.
