MONTHLY “SINGLES”
HOUSE LEAGUE
A house consists of five players. At the end of each month of play, the top two finishers will move up a house while the bottom two moves down. The middle score will remain in the same house. Participants will remain in the house league as long as they play at least three matches per month of play.

Interclub Leagues
NCTA Mixed Interclub League
The Rideau enters teams in the Tuesday and Wednesday NCTA Mixed Interclub Leagues. The Wednesday league is for players rated 4.0 and above; the Tuesday league for players up to 4.0. Teams consist of 4 men and 4 women. Regular team players must be members of the NCTA ($25 annual fee). Matches are played at the Rideau Tennis Club and other clubs in the Ottawa region. Each weekly match comprises two sets each of men’s and ladies’ singles, men’s and ladies’ doubles, and mixed doubles.
NCTA Interclub Singles Leagues
(Sat./Sun. afternoons). Entry is by individual application to the NCTA. These are men’s singles and ladies’ singles box leagues similar to our House Ladders, but operating on an Interclub basis with matches scheduled by the NCTA. Participants must be NCTA members ($25 annual fee). Please look on the NCTA web site www.ottawatennis.com for more information.
Ladies' Daytime Interclub League
The Rideau traditionally participates in the Ladies’ Daytime Interclub League. The Ladies Daytime Interclub matches are played Thursday mornings 9:00 – 11:00am. Please inform the Member Services attendant if you wish to try out for the Rideau team.
National Capital Senior Men’s Interclub League
The Rideau has an active group of senior men who participate in the National Capital Senior Men’s Interclub League. The Rideau teams play on Wednesday mornings or afternoons. Please inform the Member Services attendant if you wish to try out for the Rideau team. |
