Our pros have put together a line up of instructional programs and clinics to help you develop and finesse your game. The line-up includes some of your favourites as well as new programs. It is our hope that there is something for everyone.

Note: As you will see as you read through the following, we have added the suggested Tennis Canada ranking for each of the clinics and programs. Hopefully, this will help you select an activity that best suits your playing ability. If you are not aware of your ranking, please click here or you can always ask one of the Professional to help you determine your level!

*Non-members: The Rideau Tennis Club welcomes non members to participate in some of the club programs. Please note however, a non-member is limited to a maximum for four days in program throughout the season. For clarity on this policy, please speak with Nancy Kirkwood, Manager, Recreation & Club Services, Rideau Tennis Club.

Learn & Improve Your Play
This four week program is designed to take players who can rally at a slow pace and teach them to improve court coverage, increase the quality of their strokes by improving their control, placement and power.
Ranking: up to level 3.0

Private, Semi Private and Group Lessons
The Rideau Tennis Professionals offer private and semi private tennis lessons for players of all ages and all levels from beginning to advanced play. Signing up for private tennis lessons gives you the opportunity to work one-on-one to improve any aspect of your game! It is all about YOU!

Stroke of the week!
Having problems with your backhand or always wanted to learn how to put some spin on that second serve? We will help you to break it down, drill it and then put into game situation. Build your game up, one stroke at a time. Drop in three weeks in a row and get the fourth week for free.

Cardio Tennis
Get Fit – Have Fun!
Tennis professional Zhenya Kondratovski will lead players through this high intensity session and will vary the drills and games from week.
Ranking: 3.0 or higher

Doubles Drills & Thrills
Participants will enjoy fun and challenging drills, will get tips on their strokes, positioning and shot selections when they practice hit or put it together in a game situation. Become more skilled & confident player, learn winning strategies and meet other members.

Advanced Tennis Clinic - 1 hour Session
Tennis Professional: Adrian Frei
These four-week clinics are designed for the competitive players that participate in local tournaments and leagues, and would like to fine tune their game. Each of the one-hour lesson involves warm-up, drills and match play with emphasis on game strategy (singles & doubles). Because of the need to match players, those interested should contact Adrian directly at afrei@rideautennisclub.com or 613-265-0836 to set up court times.
Ranking: 3.5 or higher

Intermediate Round Robin
Best deal in the City! Come spend Sunday afternoons playing tennis with your fellow members in a fun, social intermediate level round robin organized by Rideau Pro, Ryan Berman.
Ranking: 3.5 –4.0

Social and Tennis Round Robins
You won’t want to miss the fun and excitement of casual competition. Put your singles game to the test...
Join our Monthly House League
A house consists of five players. At the end of each month of play, the top two finishers will move up a house while the bottom two moves down. The middle score will remain in the same house. Participants will remain in the house league as long as they play at least three matches per month of play.

Ladies Only House Ladder
The Tennis Executive Committee is the initiator of this new program for the Club’s female members. The Ladies Only Ladder will be organized by RTC members with the support of the Tennis Director.
