Welcome

Who we are

The Rideau Tennis Club is a full service, year round club situated on the picturesque banks of the Rideau River serving members since 1912. The Club, which is located five minutes from downtown Ottawa at the intersection of North River Road and Donald Street, offers 19 outdoor tennis courts during the summer season, 11 which are lit clay courts. In the winter, the eight hard courts are active under two air domes.

The Rideau Tennis Club offers an excellent variety of tennis programs for all members led by Head Tennis Professional Zhenya Kondratovski. With over 18 years of teaching experience at our Club, Zhenya is well respected in the tennis community as one of the top tennis professionals in our region. Zhenya is supported by Pros Adrian Frei and Sacha Krishna.  Private, semi-private and group lessons are available from all of our tennis professionals.

A few paces from the tennis courts, the Breakpoint Bistro, the members’ lounge offers the perfect place to relax and visit with fellow members. During the summer season, members can unwind after a game and head to the “Summer Kitchen” on the Upper Deck to enjoy a post-game drink or meal.

Whether it’s the season’s Club Championships, Fitness Workshops or Dinner Specials, Club members will always have fun. Socials at the Rideau are a combination of tennis and off-court socials that happen regularly throughout the season.
