Customer Service Assistant - Summer Programming

Purpose
The RA Centre is looking for three service oriented and energetic individuals to join our summer program team. This position is a blend of client facing service interactions with back office administrative functions and provides support to both the Member/Club Services and Summer Camp divisions. Each position is for a term of 10 weeks under the Canada Summer Jobs program. There is the possibility of a potential extension into a part-time position. Under the CSJ program individuals must be between 15 and 30 years of age at start of employment.

The RA Centre is looking for candidates who are able to work one of the following shifts. These are fixed shifts with no flexibility.

Position #1 Shifts: Thursday - Monday Morning Opening 6:45/7am - 2:45/3pm
Position #2 Shifts: Saturday - Wednesday Closing 2:15/3:15pm - 11:15pm/9:45pm
Position #3 Shifts: Monday - Friday Variety of Open/ Midday/ Closing

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
  • Perform welcome/check in/attendance duties including providing professional and caring support to families, answer questions, provide information and directions, helping with COVID-19 screening.
  • Perform registration duties in person and over the phone, collection of fees.
  • Provide accurate information about RA programs, schedules and up to date protocols over the phone, in person or by email.
  • Help enforce all mandated health measures and safety practices.
  • Accurately complete administrative procedures associated with program registrations, membership applications, close of shifts, incident or accident reports.
  • Support Summer Camp operations by printing, organizing and filing paperwork, float around camps to check in on councillors and redirect parents, tidy program spaces when required.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to exercise mature judgement and sound decision making
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player
  • Strong computer literacy, communication and public relations skills
  • Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - C
  • All Candidates must be fully vaccinated and show proof of upon hiring

Job Types:
Full-time (35hrs weekly), Temporary

Salary:
$15.00 per hour

All staff are required to wear PPE, hand sanitizer and Plexiglas has been installed around the desk.
