In exploring career paths, have you considered a future in skilled trades? To quote Mike Holmes, Canadian builder and television host, “Think outside the cubicle”.
Without trades, our society would literally crumble. Trades jobs are well-paying, creative, respected and challenging, and provide a career job security higher than most other fields, along with a satisfaction in seeing the results of your skills and abilities unfold in real time.
In January, the Ontario Provincial government shared estimates that there will be a shortage of 350,000 people required for skilled trades by 2025, and, according to a report by RBC, more than 700,000 skilled tradespeople are set to retire across the country.
Optimum Mechanical is proud Partner of the RA, and exclusive provider of mechanical services for the facility. They are dedicated to the delivery of quality service and to supporting young people in their decision to make a career in skilled trades.
The RA and Optimum Mechanical have teamed up to create the Trades Career Path Bursary Program. For 2022, two $500 bursaries will be awarded to assist two young people in moving forward with their education and/or training.
