Bruce Malmberg, who was born and raised in Ottawa, has built an impressive career right in our backyard. Bruce has been an active member of the RA Archery Club since 1986, has supported archery in Ottawa as a Provincial level judge, Club chair, coach and mentor; and has contributed endless hours volunteering and promoting archery at all levels within Ottawa.

Bruce is a NCCP certified Coach and has competed at a high level in his field of Compound Bow. He represented Canada for 9 years as a member of the Men’s Compound National Team, ranked #1 Indoor in Canada for 9 consecutive years, is a 10-time National Champion, a 20-time Provincial Champion, a National and Provincial record holder and the only Canadian Archer to win the Atlantic City Archery Classic, winning it twice. Bruce was also awarded the RA Hall of Fame Sports Award in 2008 and the Ottawa’s Sports Awards Archery Athlete of the Year three times.

Bruce’s love of the sport has not diminished and he continues to compete in outdoor, indoor and 3D events.

National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 1

Shawna, has been involved in archery since 2013.

Some people enjoy yoga or Meditation, Shawna gets the same benefit while shooting.

As well as being an athlete, she is also a club judge, range safety officer, and a NCCP Certified coach.

Shawna enjoys shooting recurve-style bows as well as teaching allowing her to pass on the knowledge she has to others.

Having competed primarily indoors, Shawna hopes someday to shoot in multiple competitive disciplines.
