Leadership Team - 2018

Amy Roberts

Amy Roberts

RA Summer Camps Coordinator

Amy grew up in the suburbs of Ottawa and attended the University of Ottawa where she was highly involved in the Sports Services Department.  After spending two summers at Gee-Gee Summer Camps she embarked on a new adventure working at Camp Lenox, a premier sleep-away camp in the Northeast United States.  At Camp Lenox, Amy worked her way through the staff ranks from a Group Leader and Coach to Leadership Coordinator and Assistant Athletic Director, to her final position as the Director of Human Resources.  Her passion working with all campers and staff was exemplified every day.  She was one of the main points of contact for parents overseeing their children’s daily camp life, doing her best to ensure everyone would leave Lenox having their ‘best summer yet’.

In the Fall of 2014, Amy returned to Ottawa and began work with the Ottawa-Carleton Ultimate Association as their Program Officer. In the Spring of 2015, the opportunity to work for the RA coordinating various clubs and overseeing summer camps became available and it was an opportunity she could not pass up.  Now in her third year at the RA, Amy coordinates Children and Youth Programs, along with overseeing Recreation Facility Bookings. After two amazing summers at the RA she cannot wait to make Summer 2018 one of the best to date. Amy is truly invested in all the campers and counsellors at the RA.  She believes there’s no better way to develop character and social skills than while having the time of your life at RA Summer Camps!
