The kids’ got rhythm! At the end of January, the RA hosted and facilitated ‘Tap, Drum, Play’ with a very excited group of Kindergarten and Grade One students from St-Laurent Academy. Tap, Drum, Play is an annual activity at the RA and this year the session was led by Noah Belanger, Head of RA’s Camp and Children’s Programs. If you had happened to walk by the room where the session took place you would have seen a room full of kids mimicking the rhythms of drum leader, Belanger. Every child is equipped with an exercise ball, a stand, and drumsticks to produce the sounds they hear – but what would really stick with you is the absolute joy on the children’s faces. “Tap, Drum, Play unites kids with exercise, music, and rhythm in a fun, and relaxed setting”, says Belanger. He adds, “The room is as full of laughter and smiles, as it is with great beats.” The RA knows how to keep kids active, engaged, and having fun! Junior Athletes focuses on developing a love of sport through encouragement and good sportsmanship. Our Summer Camps offer something for every child from the artsy, the sporty, and the curious. The RA’s seasonal programming for kids ranges from judo and chess to archery and badminton. See our full range of children’s programming here! |
