The RA's StrongWomen Stream

Enjoy the path into more physical activity while building confidence and competence. The RA’s The StrongWomen stream consists of welcoming and progressive classes led by trained fitness professionals in an inclusive and social, small group setting. Participants enjoy the benefits of exercising with a group of women, not only getting stronger physically, but also benefiting from improved self-esteem and self-efficacy.  The RA's StrongWomen Stream offers a progression of classes beginning with the introductory StrongWomenTM class, followed by a Next Phase class and complemented by the Continuum series of classes.

 


StrongWomenTM

The StrongWomenTM class is designed for women with little or no experience with strength training who are interested in improving health, getting stronger, gaining confidence, and enjoying social connectedness.  

FALL 2019 Sessions
12 weeks – 2 hours/week

FEES 
(pre-tax):
First-time participant: $  20/per session**
Returning participant: $120/per session

** Please note: A one-time program scholarship of $100 per participant has been provided through the Ontario Trillium Foundation to reduce participation barriers and support program evaluation. Participants wishing to take additional sessions will be required to pay the full program cost of $120 per subsequent session.

NEW!  The Next Phase

Stronger YOU

The Stronger YOU class is the Next Phase in the RA's StrongWomen stream. Stronger YOU is a total body, functional strength class.  Focus will be on learning proper technique and how to progress for optimal benefit. Suggested for those who are new to strength training or are looking to continue strength training in a small group setting after having completed the StrongWomenTM.

Stronger YOU 2 

The Stronger YOU 2 class is part of the Continuum series of classes in the RA's StrongWomen stream. Designed to challenge you with more advanced exercises and class styles, Stronger YOU 2 will keep you on track towards even bigger fitness goals!

Stronger YOU Yoga

Come one come all!  The Stronger YOU Yoga class, part of the Continuum series of classes in the RA's StrongWomen stream, is designed for women with little or no experience with yoga. Participants will enjoy discovering the benefits of yoga through the exploration of balance, strength, flexibility and relaxation techniques in a small, safe and all-inclusive environment.
