​Our Adult instructional programs and clinics provide structured training designed to teach the fundamentals, techniques, and strategies of Table Tennis for all levels - from beginner to advanced there's something for everyone!
Intermediate Skills & Drills 
This program is designed for players who have mastered the basics of table tennis and are ready to advance their skills further.

​Offering a deeper dive into technique refinement participants will receive expert coaching that focuses on complex strokes, tactical strategies, and match play scenarios. Each class combines drills with practical applications, providing a comprehensive approach to elevating your game. Ideal for those looking to sharpen their competitive edge and build on their foundational skills.

Our vibrant recreational table tennis program is crafted for children ages 8-14, offering Beginner and Intermediate Levels.

The Beginner program introduces newcomers to the exciting world of table tennis, focusing on the fundamentals and providing a solid foundation for those new to the sport. Featuring age-appropriate activities and exercises designed to develop essential techniques, rules, and etiquette while improving hand-eye coordination. The RA's Table Tennis Centre offers three Drop-In Play options — perfect for those seeking organized play! Our team of Ambassadors maintain an orderly rotation of matches, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere for guaranteed fun! ​
Social PLAY
​All Levels | Variety of scheduled times
Whether you’re looking to get more game time or don’t have a regular partner, our social drop-in sessions offer a fun, friendly, and active environment to play and connect with others in the community. Please note: These sessions are designed for social and rotational play, not uninterrupted table time. Some wait time between games is to be expected.
  • Supervised by a member of our dedicated Table Tennis team
  • Guided rotational play (may include Top Table, friendly ladder matches, timed rounds, and a mix of singles and doubles games).
  • 2-hour Drop-in Play sessions available.
  • ​5 new tables / 12 spots available per sessions.
  • Tables can be booked up to 3 days in advance.​

These sessions are ideal for those looking to elevate their game through fast-paced, competitive match play. Whether you're preparing for tournaments or seeking stronger opponents, our competitive drop-ins offer a challenging environment with a focus on high-level play. Players will also have the unique opportunity to challenge our coaches for a more advanced level of competition. Please note: While the coach actively facilitates and instructs during the session to ensure fair, balanced, and competitive play, the primary focus is on match play rather than one-on-one coaching. Some wait time between games is to be expected due to the rotational format.

  • One person books and pays the full fee.
  • Tables may be booked up to 3 days in advance.
  • Cancellations LESS than 48 HOURS PRIOR to your booking: No credit or refund.
  • Cancellations MORE than 48 HOURS PRIOR to your booking: Account credit only (no refund). You may cancel your booking and create an account credit on-line by following the steps in the 'How to Tips' under How to Cancel a Booking or by contacting RA Guest Services.
  • CHECK-IN IS REQUIRED – Individuals who have booked are required to check-in at the East Guest Services Desk BEFORE the start of their booking. Please ensure every individual in your party checks in. Individuals who do not check in repeatedly will receive a penalty charge. ​
  • All participants are required to leave the table once the one hour time period is over. This allows the next group to start and avoid any confusion.
  • An extra charge ($16 per table per hour) will be applied to any participants who use any vacant table before or after their booking time.
  • No formal coaching, organized league play or programming can be done privately through Play-As-You-Play table rentals.
  • An individual is only able to book 1 table per hour. Concurrent bookings will be flagged and the second table booking will be cancelled and refunded.
EQUIPMENT RENTALS
Table Tennis racquets and balls are available to rent from RA Guest Services (East desk)!

Fee per rental: $5 + $0.48 FRF* = $5.48 (plus tax) 
​*A 9.5% Facility Renewal Fee is applied.
  • Rental includes 1 racquet & 1 ball.
  • Please note individuals will be required to provide a piece of photo ID which will be retained until the equipment is returned. ​

Playmaker Membership 

The RA’s Playmaker Membership​ is led by our passionate table tennis enthusiast, Tony Campbell. Join us for a fun, energetic session in a friendly social environment. Players will rotate partners, play both singles and doubles matches, and enjoy a great workout along the way. This membership is a great option for someone looking to secure a full season time slot! Some basic knowledge of table tennis is required.

JUAN Acosta
Juan Acosta has a degree in Sports Sciences (2016); in addition, he has diplomas in sports management from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (2020) and the Peruvian Institute of Sports (2017). 

​As an athlete, Juan has held the title of National Champion in all categories in Peru and participated in numerous international tournaments, where he obtained the title of Bolivarian Champion in 2004. He participated in the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) in 2003, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 2007, and Guadalajara (Mexico) in 2011. University Olympic Games in Beijing (China) in 2001, and World Table Tennis Championships in Paris (France) in 2003.
 
As a coach, Juan has dedicated himself to the improvement and development of table tennis students. He has the ITTF Level 3 coach certification (2020) and a certificate in the administration of ITTF table tennis institutions (2020).
 
Join Juan in the world of table tennis! With his wealth of experience, skills, and enthusiasm, he is the ideal trainer to take your skills to the next level, whether you are a beginner or advanced.

Iryna shevchenko
Iryna is a professional table tennis coach with more than 16 years of coaching experience and 28 years in the sport. She holds a Master’s Degree in Recreation and Recreational Physical Training and a Bachelor’s Degree in Olympic and Professional Sport, with a specialization in Table Tennis Coaching and Physical Training Teaching.

As an accomplished athlete, she became the Ukrainian Champion in Women’s Doubles and the Ontario Champion in Women’s Singles. Over the years, Iryna has contributed to numerous training camps across Europe and Canada, with her most recent work including the National Girls Camp in Quebec City (2024) and Richmond, BC (2025). She is also part of the Table Tennis Canada Women’s Mentorship Program.

In addition to her table tennis expertise, Iryna is TRX (Total Resistance Exercises) Certified, bringing a well-rounded approach to fitness and athletic development. Her dedication to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle is an inspiration to many, and her accomplishments in the field of sports continue to inspire others to pursue their athletic dreams. Iryna's coaching philosophy reflects her genuine love for the sport. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table tennis community, both as a coach and an athlete. Her fluency in both English and Ukrainian allows her to connect with a diverse range of students.

tony campbell
​Tony graduated from Nipissing University’s Faculty of Education, qualified to teach elementary students and high school physical education. In addition, he graduated from Ottawa University with his Masters Degrees in Education. After 30 years of teaching and coaching various school sports, Tony is excited to share his expertise and love of table tennis with the RA. 
​
As a member of British Columbia’s Junior Team in 1983, Tony has worked with provincial and national level coaches to develop a strong understanding of TT.  He has worked with Canada’s National Para Team for three years, participated in various TT leagues, competed at the Canadian TT Championships, umpired at the Para TT Canadian Championships and successfully operated a local TT club in Ottawa for 15 years. Tony is a NCCP Level 1 Certified coach and looks forward to working with all ages of people interested in learning the beautiful game of TT.
