Call for Nominations - RA Board of Directors
Are you interested in making a difference at the RA? Do you want to help guide the RA, as it continues to evolve its focus on providing services to the National Capital community. If so, you may be interested in becoming a member of the RA Board of Directors! Elections are planned for April 2024.
The role of the Board of Directors is to provide governance and oversight to the RA Centre. It does so by following Ontario’s legislation related to Not-for-Profit corporations (which is what the RA is), our by-laws, mission, vision, and values. The Board takes the perspective of what is best for the entire organization, when making decisions. Between April 3 and April 17, 2024, RA members will be electing candidates to fill ten (10) positions, composed of either a two-year or four-year terms. The Board is composed of 16 volunteer Directors.
The Nominations and Elections Committee is looking for qualified candidates to step forward for election who are interested in furthering the mission of the RA and have time available to do so. While all experience is welcomed on the RA Board, experience in the fields of Finance, Governance, Not-for-profit law and Marketing would be particularly appreciated.
If any of this resonates with you, please, consider standing for election yourself or nominating a respected peer to serve and play a key role in the stewardship of our not-for-profit association.
